Intramurals- 1st and 2nd Grade Boys and Girls:

• All 1st Graders will play in the 1st and 3rd quarters
• All 2nd Graders will play in the 2nd and 4th quarters
• If grades and numbers of players are unequal or if a team has more than 10 players the Referee and coaches will discuss alternative option
• Games will be 4- 6:00 Minute Quarters- There will be a minute stoppage between quarters to switch players
• 28.5 Sized ball will be used- 8.5 Foot high nets will be used
• Referee will choose one team to begin with the ball and Alternate Possession throw in will occur to begin each quarter 
• If game is tied after 4 quarters a one minute overtime will occur 
• Coaches will be permitted on the court but may not interfere or touch the ball while in play
• 2-3 Zone defense will be Played
• Defense must keep one foot in the lane at all times but may go outside of the box on rebounds
• Three second rule will Not be enforced
• No Fast breaks or pressing allowed
• Traveling, Double Dribbling, and other violations will be verbally enforced
• Fouls will be called at the discretion of the referee
• Each player should take turns bringing up the ball, shooting, and passing the ball in
• Referee and Coaches will stop the game to teach defnse, offense and other skills
• Both teams will shake hands at the end of the game

3rd/4th/5th Grade Boys and Girls:

All 3rd Graders will play in the 1st and 3rd quarters

• All 4th/5th Graders will play in the 2nd and 4th quarters

• Referee will choose one team to begin with the ball and Alternate Possession throw in will occur to begin each quarter 
• If game is tied after 4 quarters a one minute overtime will occur 
• Coaches will NOT be permitted on the court 
• 2-3 Zone or Man to Man defense will be Played
• Defense must keep one foot in the lane until the first pass is made
• First pass is free only to the wings
• First pass can be stolen if thrown to the middle
• Three second rule will be enforced
• No Fast breaks allowed until the 5th game of the season
• No pressing allowed
