Last year we had 17 very successful teams all whom particpated in post season play
Just under 200 Players participated last year
The 2018-19 CYO Season will begin in early Novemeber- Date TBD. Although games begin in Novemeber tryouts and practices will begin in early September as well as weekend scrimmages and preseason tournaments beginning in early October
Games will not be cancelled due to other sports still taking place including soccer, football, etc. in early November
Schedules will become availvile online sometime mid to end of October
All CYO teams require a tryout. A player must attend at least one tryout no matter how many years they have been playing in the program. Every year is a clean slate for every player as some players develop a lot by the next year

Tryouts will take place in early September. Tryouts will be earlier than normal due to online sign ups ending earlier and so we can get practices going in mid September
All players must be signed up by 9/1/19 to participate in the early Septemeber mandatory tryouts
Tryout schedule will be emailed to all of those signed up in early September. The tryout schedule will also be posted to the website
Every player will be notified via email or phone call if they made a team within two weeks of second tryout date. Those who don´t make a team will be refunded via credit card account
Accepting a spot on a team means you are comitting to a possible 6 Month (September- End of March), will attend practices, games and be fully comitted to the team. Once you have been selected for a team, no refunds will be given
Please note that playoffs and practices will take place over Mid- Winter Recess in February of 2020 as well as Christmas Break week
Each player and parents must sign the SGB CYO Parent Player contract before they participate in the frist team practice. PLAYER PARENT CONTRACT CAN BE FOUND ON HOME PAGE VERTICAL MENU- ADD THERE
Practices will begin immediately in mid September- 2+ Practices a week anywhere from 60-95 minutes long. Practices are in North Rockland area
Games on weekends, and could be during the week at other parishes- 10 League Games Grades 3-6, 12 League Games for Grades 7 and 8. Tournamants and scrimmages as well may take place throughout the season
There are two Divisions- East Division and West Division. East Division is a competitive division which county winners have the chance to advance to Arch. of NY Tournament following county play
West Division- Teams compete competitively within the county for a county championship held in early March
Top 8 teams in each division qualify for playoffs
